OGCS Guinea SARL is a consultancy company specializing in the provision of multi-disciplined Project Management Services to the Global Mining and Energy Industry. We invite applicants for the role of Senior Advisor, Procurement and Contracts (Services) for the Simandou project in Guinea, West Africa. Applicants must be able to speak Chinese and have experience working with Chinese contractors. 

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Chinese-speaking Senior Advisor, Procurement and Contracts (Services) to support the Simandou Project in Guinea. This role reports to the Principal Advisor, Procurement and Contracts (Services) and Contract Leads. The successful candidate will be working in a diverse team located in Guinea, China, United Kingdom and Australia.

In this role you will be supporting contracting and procurement activities, and the day-to-day commercial function, to meet time, cost, and quality requirements.

Specific Responsibilities: 

You will be:

  • Developing and implementing procurement strategies for services contracts, including engaging with engineering service providers in China.

  • Carrying out procurement and contract management activities in accordance with the project governance requirements.

  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the best long-term outcomes.

  • Contributing data into the contracts administration database.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • 5 - 10 years of experience in the procurement and contracts administration of service contracts.

  • Ability to speak Chinese and experience working with Chinese contractors.
